Linda DeMeulemeester’s middle-grade novel on evil fairies, 'The Secret of Grim Hill,' has won the Silver Birch award for children’s fiction in Ontario, and was listed by the Canadian Toy Testing Council as a “Great Book of 2008.” It is currently nominated for some other neat awards: the Hackmatack in Atlantic Canada, the Diamond Willow in Saskatchewan, and the Red Cedar in British Columbia. She thinks this is very cool, and it propels her as she writes the fourth book in the Grim Hill series.
Occasionally, though, she gets the impulse to write a non-children’s story. Evil still lurks!
Linda's short fiction has appeared in ChiZine, Twilight Tales, Storyteller and Neo-opsis.
